• considered hinge between physical and spiritual
• first 3 chakra’s are based on real-world (physical, emotional, mental), this is where we start to spiral higher into the more spiritual realms of our being

• interpretation of love and how we relate lovingly in our relationships
• the more love we give, the more open this chakra will be
• this love is about unconditional, free-flowing energy that acknowledges all people and situations as deserving love and compassion
• deals with how connected we are to other people
• used a great deal by healers because love is a very powerful healing force
• physical: heart, circulation system, upper back, thymus, vagus nerve (cranial nerve which affects the larynx, heart, esophagus and most abdominal organs)
• Green (green grass as opposed to dark or lime green)
